The fundamental basis and principles of all our coaching is for the purpose of creating a fun and enjoyable environment that enables our cricketers to develop as cricketers, as a team, and as an individual. Our older youth players also get the chance to play adult league cricket on Saturdays as well as experiencing ‘Adult cricket’ for the first time in our midweek and friendly teams. Many of our junior coaches represent the club at adult level, so understand how important high quality coaching is, and how they can look to pass their love of cricket to the next generation of Wolvercote cricketers. We also participate in the ECB’s All Stars programme (ages 5-8). For many years, Dragon school has reflected a non-traditional approach. We have a constantly growing junior section, to which we currently enter junior cricket teams for U9, U11, U13, and U15. Dragon Prep School is one of the most famous boarding schools in the UK, located in Oxford. ![]() Our stronger players are identified by our coaches, and then nominated to attend the OCB Cricket trials at the end of the season. At Wolvercote, our youth players seek to learn and develop skills that relate to all aspects of cricket which thus enables them to represent the club in junior league and cup matches throughout the summer. ![]() We welcome both boys and girls of all abilities.
